“Its not you”

If you will not be comfortable doing it tomorrow, don’t try it out today!

Often, we have compromised with the “its a one day thing” saying. We choose to go against our set standards with the excuse of creating moments, forgetting that once done will again be done. We find ourselves becoming addicts of what we initially termed as “trying out fun.”

We have fallen victim of trial. Attimes we decide to do things on trial and forget that once done will forever be done. ‘Let me have that one leaf of weed its just for fun today.’ I tell you what, that one fun today will affect you forever. I remember, recently I got into a misunderstanding with a friend with whom we had gone out, he very well knew that i don’t take alcohol because am a born-again christian but he insisted i take a sip just to create a moment since it was my birthday. I refused not because i couldn’t but because he would always refer to this day inorder to persuade into drinking. So i refused, yes we left at loggerheads that day but i saved myself from victimization because of my one day act. Theresa in Anna Todd’s After, tries night club one day and it became a habit.

Let’s look at an example of a love relationship, the first interaction gives what one is to and not to expect from the relationship. If you start with daily check up calls be it in the morning, day or late night then you have to maintain this without fail in order to keep this relationship intact. If by any chance you miss out on the routine calls, then your partner will start questioning your stand in the relationship. In the long run you create ideas; “Probably he doesn’t love me any more probably he is giving his time to another person.” Why all these thoughts, you know why? You started what is not you. You will realise that very many relationships have broken because of failure to maintain what they started.

If you cannot stick to it, don’t start it.

He who influences the thought of his times influences the times that follow.(Elbert Hubbard)

If you feel you wont do it the next day, don’t try it out today!
